As a child Marly van der Sluis accompanied her mother in her hotel. Her father was a building contractor and restored old properties. So began her love for the hotel trade and old houses which have wound like a thread through her whole life. After first hesitantly setting up a small restaurant in Spain she moved to Germany. After a short spell in Holland, where she set up yet another business, she came in contact with the owner of La Chaume. Result: head over heels in love with the house and its surroundings. |
